How to Develop Process Improvement Projects using your ISO 14001 EMS (1 Day - $499): This program is specifically designed for companies that have been ISO14001 certified are looking for new projects that can be implemented and getting more value from their EMS. Companies not certified will also benefit from this program by learning to develop cost reduction projects. We will review the ISO14001 standard and discuss ways to improve your EMS. The course will cover how to establish new objectives & targets and develop effective environmental management programs. Case studies in energy reduction, recycling improvements, material substitution, and others will be reviewed. Students are encourage to bring examples of projects they have completed. Over lunch the group will brain storm new ideas for projects at their facility. Students will leave the class with a good understanding of how to develop process improvement projects and new ideas they can implement at their facilities. ü Grand Rapids August 8, 2008 ü Detroit August 14, 2008
Get ISO 14001 Certified in 120 days (½ Day - $199): This program is specifically designed for companies getting ready or considering ISO 14001 certification. The program will provide an overview of environmental performance, development of the ISO 14001 standard, detailed review of ISO 14001, and a step by step process for implementing an ISO 14001 compliant EMS. The student will leave with a good understanding of how to plan an ISO 14001 implementation. The plan will allow you to be ready for certification in 120 days. ü Grand Rapids September 19, 2008 ü Detroit September 18, 2008 Managing an ISO14001 EMS for NEW Managers (EMR) (1 day - $495): As new managers are given responsible for ISO 14001 systems they need a good understanding of ISO 14001 to effectively manage the system. The program will provide a detailed understanding of the ISO 14001, key elements of an effective EMS, developing effective internal audit programs, getting value from your targets & objectives, and leading management review. The student will leave equipped to not only manage their EMS but also ready to improve the system. ü Grand Rapids October 9, 2008 ü Detroit October 16, 2008 Planning and Conducitng ISO14001 Internal Audits (2 days - $699): Many sites need to add additional auditors to their audit team. Additionally, adding new auditors is one way to keep your EMS fresh and continuously improving. The program will provide a detailed understanding of the ISO 14001 standard and ISO 19011 auditing guidelines. Several hands on auditing exercise are included to give the student hands on experience. The student will leave the course fully ready to begin doing EMS audits. ü Grand Rapids October 15 & 16, 2008 ü Detroit October 20 & 21, 2008
